  • Interviewing must not be used as a disguise for selling or developing sales leads, nor for deliberately influencing the opinions of those interviewed.
  • The respondent may exercise the right to withdraw or refuse to answer at any stage during or after the interview. Any request of the respondent to terminate the interview must be granted and, if he or she so requests, any information already given must be deleted.
  • The identity of the individual respondents must not be revealed to anyone, unless authorized by the respondent.
  • Information collected from individual respondents through surveys and interviews may not be added to the client’s customer files for sales purposes.
