Privacy Policy

Introduction


At Tele-Surveys Plus Inc., respecting privacy has always been important. We are committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of all personal data we possess, whether obtained from participation in our studies, employment, or through business relationships.

The personal information we gather is stored on secure servers. Such information is consulted strictly by those who are directly involved in the project for which it was gathered, in the case of study participants, or have a business need to know in the case of employees and our business partners.

We gather personal information from study participants to meet the informational needs relating to such studies. The data gathered is only presented to our clients in aggregate form. We do not disclose information that could lead to identifying a participant, without having previously obtained such participant’s explicit consent.

We comply with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as well as the highest industry standards such as the ESOMAR guidelines. We periodically review our policy so as to ensure its relevance and compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.

The Tele-Surveys Plus Inc. Privacy Policy is a statement of principles and guidelines regarding our management of personal information. The objective of the Privacy Policy is to promote responsible and transparent personal information management practices in a manner consistent with the provisions of applicable privacy laws.

Tele-Surveys Plus Inc. is an accredited Gold Seal member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC). Its employees are also members of the World Association of Marketing Research Professionals (ESOMAR). CRIC along with its global counterparts set standards to which members must adhere and which also protect your privacy.

Summary of Principles


Principle 1 - Accountability

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. is responsible for personal information under its control and will designate one or more persons who are accountable for Tele-Surveys Plus inc.’s compliance with the following principles.

Principle 2 - Identifying Purposes for Collection of Personal Information

Tele-Surveys Plus will identify the purposes for which personal information is collected at or before the time the information is collected.

Principle 3 - Obtaining Consent for Collection, Use or Disclosure of Personal Information

TThe knowledge and consent of an individual are required for the collection, use or disclosure of personal information, except where exempted by applicable law.

Principle 4 - Limiting Collection of Personal Information

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. will limit the collection of personal information to that which is necessary for the purposes identified by Tele-Surveys Plus. Tele-Surveys Plus will collect personal information by fair and lawful means.

Principle 5 - Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention of Personal Information

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required or permitted by law.

Principle 6 - Accuracy of Personal Information

Personal information will be as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

Principle 7 - Security Safeguards

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. will protect personal information by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Principle 8 - Openness Concerning Policies and Procedures

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. will make readily available to individuals specific information about its policies and procedures relating to the management of personal information.

Principle 9 - Access to Personal Information

Tele-Surveys Plus inc. will inform an individual of the existence, use, and disclosure of his or her personal information upon request and will provide the individual access to that information. An individual will be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.

Principle 10 - Challenging Compliance

An individual will be able to address a challenge concerning compliance with the above principles to the designated person or persons accountable for Tele-Surveys Plus inc.’s compliance with The Tele-Surveys Plus Inc. Privacy Code.
